Obituary of Darrin Joel Johnson

Darrin Joel Johnson, 56 years old, fell asleep in death at Nathan Adelson Hospice on February 27,2021. Born December 23, 1964 in Waukegan, Illinois, Darrin was the oldest of six children. They were raised in North Chicago, Illinois. Darrin attended Laremont School in the Special Education District of Lake County in Gages Lake, Illinois. He graduated in 1986. Darrin relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada with his family in 1996. Darrin was preceded in death by his parents, Robert James Johnson and Erma Lee Johnson. He was survived by his five sisters: Bobbi Lynn Washington, Audrey Johnson, Rachelle Johnson, Katricia (Keven) Wilson, and Daurice Johnson. He was also survived by his nieces Sameka Johnson, Rhonda Myers, and Erica Wade, as well as his nephews: Detrick (Melanie) Washington and Dakota Washington Lenzi. Although unable to speak due to a brain injury occurring during infancy, Darrin was known for his peaceful manner, his preference for standing, and his huge appetite. He will be greatly missed by his family. Job 14:14: ”If a man dies can he live again?” John 5:28: “… the hour is coming.
